SAGE - Students Achieving Goals Through Education
The goal of the SAGE Program is to facilitate long-term relationships with students and promote student retention by providing consistent, personalized, quality value-added services to students.
- If you have not yet made your choice of a major or program, or if you have made an initial choice but are still unsure, you are not alone...
- If you're "just not a math person" or if your writing skills are not up to par, there are millions of students in the same boat...
- If you think of yourself as "computer illiterate," or if you're just not comfortable using today's computer software and communication tools, don't feel like the Lone Ranger...
Students will receive ongoing help in:
- arranging for free career counseling, testing, and vocational resources
- arranging for free on-campus or on-line tutoring in many subjects
- having your own SAGE consultant to act as a liaison with faculty and other offices and departments on campus
- working closely with your assigned academic advisor to make sure you know exactly where you are and where you're going.
Your SAGE consultant will assist you in gathering information so that you can make an informed decision in choosing an educational path. Then we'll help you to develop the skills and study practices you'll need in college. Whether you attend classes on the Columbia campus or at one of our other campuses, we will work closely with you while you are enrolled at Columbia State.
You are cordially invited to receive personal assistance in exploring your options and achieving your educational goals. You will be assigned a SAGE consultant who will help you throughout your enrollment at Columbia State.
